Hi…I’m gonna go all Maotsujun mode in this post.

Last year (2012), to celebrate Mao’s 20th year in the entertainment industry, this show from NHK (Kagayaku Onna) made a sort of documentary about her. Talked a bit about famous roles she had and there were some interviews with her. The highlight was that the show brought her to Tanzania, Africa. Apparently Africa’s a place that she’d always wanted to visit. To experience a more simple lifestyle, she said.

The highlight has definitely got to be the part where on her last day (she was there for 10 days in end Feb 2012) she went to visit this Shaman.

So Mao asked, of all things, if she would be able to find a good partner in this long life of hers. (LOL about the long life thing)

Shaman laughs. Mao thought it’s because the Shaman thought that she was still very young and child-like.

Shaman does his thingamajig, with a bunch of pebbles.

Shaman: This guy that wanted to get close to you to marry you is an alcoholic/heavy drinker so you shouldn’t marry them. Because he’s bad.

Mao goes LOL. Laughs really hard. In my own delusional thoughts, I’m thinking that she’s laughing because the Shaman called Matsujun an alcoholic. Laughing because of how the heavy drinker thing sort of applies to her boyfriend.

Shaman asks if she has ever had a boyfriend who is an alcoholic. She says no. Shaman says eh? But I thought you have a boyfriend? (What does that mean? He knows that she has one because of his awesome fortune telling skills???)

Mao laughs (“you’re asking if I have an alcoholic boyfriend?”) And then goes silent, obviously not sure what to say. She was like “I’ll tell you later.” (with a sheepish grin) (And here’s where all the Maotsujun fans go on talking about how Jun is a heavy drinker and blahblahblah)

If she isn’t attached, she would deny it straight away right? But then she said “I’ll tell you later” which totally says that she is. I don’t think she’s the type who would say these things just for the sake of TV right, so I’d bet that she was telling the truth.

But the Shaman said not to marry him. How? :O

After that the Shaman says that she will definitely have a baby girl.

Mao: Do you know when that will happen? (Sheepish laugh)

Shaman: In 5 years.

Mao: Oh…5 more years. 30 years old then!

(And here’s where all the Maotsujun fans talk about how Jun had his fortune read and it said he’ll marry at 34, which is when Mao is 30. So it’s the perfect age gap blahblahblah LOL. Though of course other people also said he was told he would marry at 30 by some other fortune telling thing)

POINT BEING. Oh Mao you’re so cute. XD Her expression when having her fortune told is priceless XD
